Unpopular Opinion
I love Sherlock and I love how funny the fandom can be but I’m getting really sick of all the porn and smut. I hate how it’s becoming more like the Supernatural fandom where John/Sherlock is considered canon and you can’t feasibly be part of the fandom without taking a side on the ships. I like Sherlock because it’s a brilliant story with brilliant acting and brilliant writing and I really, REALLY hate how people sexualize EVERYTHING. Sure, okay, to each their own, but I’m really sick of seeing it all over my dash. If anything at all, can we please have porn posted after “read more” cuts so I don’t have to see that stuff 24/7. It’s kind of ruining the fandom for me and I don’t know…
TL;DR: Sorry for the ramble but it makes me sad that people only seem to appreciate things if they can be sexualized.
