i was walking to the car and a guy wearing a doctor who shirt walked past and i tried to say “hey!” to get his attention and compliment him on it but my mouth is still completely numb from the dentist so i couldn’t talk and i felt like i was lee from the forest of the dead trying to call out to donna and that is the realest thing that has ever happened to me
so i’ve been watching doctor who with my mom and we just finished the david tennant seasons
once the last episode was over, she turned to me and said, “wow, i hope the next doctor is less complicated than that.”
my hand is killing me so i’m stopping here tonight
but yeah
was listening to elephants by rachael yamagata (love that song) and i got the urge to draw some nine

the continuing saga of rewatching doctor who with my mother:
she prefered christopher eccleston to david tennant.
that was a little surprising because she didn’t like christopher eccleston at all at first. she was reluctant to watch anything other than matt smith.
anyway rewatching doctor who is interesting because you pick up on things that you never noticed before. i’ve come to love christopher eccleston a lot, mostly because he never REALLY saves the day. the 9th doctor is just a guy who makes the people around him BETTER, makes them want to do good things. every episode, the person who ultimately saves everyone is a side character - Rose saves him in the first episode, Jabe sacrifices herself in the second, Gwen and Charles Dickens in the third, a whole slew of characters in the fourth and fifth, Rose in the sixth, Cathica in the seventh, Pete in the eighth, and Rose again in the last episodes. even when he DOES “save the day” it’s only because he’s had the vital help and often the sacrifices of other characters. when david tennant comes along, there’s this really subtle shift to him being the one who makes the move that saves everyone else.
later seasons have more of other people saving the day, but not as much.
i think that’s a loss.

So I finally finished this song. Sorry about the noise in the background. I live in a dorm with thin walls and my recording system is kind of low budget. Ha ha. You’re probably going to have to turn up the volume to hear this, but oh well.

also wow that clicking sound in the background is really irritating

you should try and re-record it before you have to move back into dorms, so you can sing at a normal volume and so people can hear your voice <3
